EC&I 831 Summary of Learning

Victoria and I had a lot of fun doing this final Summary of Learning! We are both new to TikTok and it took a while to really understand the best ways to manipulate the app to suit our needs, but ultimately, in the end, we were able to put together some engaging, thought-provoking, and funny content that we hope you will enjoy!

We commented and joked a few times about how the images the app uses to describe what the “Effects” do are very difficult to understand.

Like what are these?? What do they mean?? I actually asked one of my students whom I know is experienced with TikTok and after she helped me, she laughed at me and called me old – so that felt great. Definitely a learning curve… I am pretty good at Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, but when it comes to TikTok, I completely have blinders on. Anyway, needless to say, it took a while to get used to the app, but by the last day of recording our posts, the tech aspect became easier and time started flying for both of us!

We are @vicdalteci831 on TikTok, please follow this link to see our page! Please start from the bottom and work your way to the top. We realized afterwards that we could have posted the videos in reverse order, but that may also confuse people who are used to starting at the beginning of someone’s profile and working their way to the most current posts. We also had a few technical difficulties with posting a video and then not being able to go back and edit it; this is the same as on Instagram, however, those posts take far less time with far fewer filters, effects, and add-ons that take up way more time. We had to FaceTime each other while posting our videos to ensure we were on the same page (pun intended) and to get the right order of videos. Once they were posted, there was no looking back. We had fun experimenting with TikTok and completing our Summary of Learning on the platform and we hope you enjoy the long hours and creativity we put into our page. Feel free to comment on the videos, but, as Adele would say, Take It Easy On Me!

Thanks for reading!
